Do you have a premises?
Yes! We have a fully operational workshop, complete with MOT station. We carry out all manner of mechanical repairs, servicing, diagnostics, MOTs and more!
Can i have my car serviced with you, even though its still under warranty?
Yes! European Commission rules on car block exemption came into full effect in October 2003. This new ruling allows independent garages the same access to technical information on your car from the manufacturer, and more importantly, it means you do not need to go back to a franchise dealer to retain warranty cover.
Are you insured for your tuning work aswell as your mechanical work?
Absolutely! We are fully insured for ALL work we carry out. This includes our Re-Mapping and any tuning.
There are a fair few unscrupulous 'tuners' who claim to be insured but we urge all people looking into having their car tuned to CHECK INSURANCE. Its very easy to claim to be insured, but infact you will need to prove your mechanical and technical qualifications to get full insurance of this type. It is absolutely your right as a customer to ask to see proof of insurance, after all, its your vehicle that could potentially be at risk. Unfortunately, some 'tuners' are not infact, have no mechanical or technical ability and are hoping to 'make a quick buck'. Please, be careful!
A few tips:
Check their website - They should have a full address, contact telephone number(s) and an email address/contact us section
Check their history as a tuner/mechanic
See where they are working from - If they don't have a premises/workshop then a bit of caution is needed - research them properly!
See if they are a member of some of the organisations like The Good Garage Scheme - Audited work/quality guarantee
Price - If it seems too good to be true, it usually is. A stage 1 Re-Map for less than £150 is rare and should ring a few alarms as to why they are so cheap.
Do i have to book or can i just turn up?
We prefer all of our customers to book, to ensure your vehicle can be done within the given time frame. You are welcome to come to the workshop and speak with our mechanics, at anytime during open hours.
Ive heard you are a member of the Good Garage Scheme, What is this?
The Good Garage Scheme is a national scheme to promote good garages.
The Good Garage Scheme was formed because of the need for effective self-regulation of independent workshops and MOT centres. Motorists can use the website www.goodgaragescheme.com to find a trustworthy garage in their area.
